4-30-26    THOUGHTS            

Christ begins a discussion with His disciples to be apostles in John 14.  He comforts them and gives them a most important task!  Verse 18 gives them that task.  They are the next phase in the planting of God’s written word.  God’s  Spirit will be “called alongside” to help them in all ways.  The TRUTH  that makes men  HOLY  will now be in the hands of God’s creation.  

John 17:13-19     "But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.  14  "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.   15  "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.  16  "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17   "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.  18  "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19  "For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
Heb 12:2   fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Our Prayer:
O Father God, thank You for the way You have given us Your Mind and Will!  Give us Your joy as we seek You with our all.  Revive our sense of ALL!   May a diligent intensity empower us as we boldly plant Your image in Christ Jesus in this world.  Empower us to greater things, O God.
